Abstract

In late years, the energy saving of the electric car attracts attention. So, we focus on regenerative braking and a transmission. Regenerative braking is the brakes which used a motor as a generator. It is necessary to make voltage up to supply an electric current to battery, and the voltage up duty and motor rotation speed have relation that they are close to efficient generation. Charging amount of the electricity energy may increase if the vehicle is the electric car with a transmission by changing gear ratio, and raising motor rotation speed during regenerative braking. In this paper, we calculate the most suitable duty depending on motor rotation speed and examine the behavior of the charging-current and the vehicle performing regenerative braking and the relations of gear ratio.
