Abstract

In this paper, we developed a visible and far-infrared coaxial camera system. This camera system consist a visible camera, a far-infrared camera, and a beam splitter which divides incident light into visible and far-infrared ray. An optical window has not usually installed in the visible and far-infrared coaxial camera system because material which allows both visible and far-infrared ray to pass through is not well known. We have improved dust resistance of camera system by using a thin film made of polyethylene as an optical window. Moreover, we calibrate visible and far-infrared cameras simultaneously with a two-layer structure calibration target so that we can precisely align images.
