The purpose of this study is develop the multi-point pressure sensor and the display system of this sensor for the myoelectric artificial hand user. We think that if the arm user can feel the shape of something that he/she touches, more complex operation using the artificial hand will become possible. Therefore, we have developed a variable capacitance multi-point pressure sensor and its measurement method using synchronous detection. Usually, there is serious problem that a large amount of noise is included in the measured signal, in case of using a variable capacitance pressure sensor. However, by using synchronous detection, we have developed a measurement method without noise. In this paper, we describe about our developed sensor and measuring method.
