Computer-Aided Diagnosis Support Systems for Medical Images by Deep Learning

Abstract

Japan currently has a large number of aging population. The other hand, the medical care quality of Japan is quite high. Especially, we have a great number of advanced medical apparatus to inspect medical images, e.g. CT or MRI. It is necessary to enable a doctor to efficiently perform interpretation of a great volume of radiogram and diagnosis. So, In this study, we attempt to develop the Computer-Aided Detection Systems for CT images. The deep learning algorithms are applied to the systems, because many good results for image recognition are reported by using deep learning algorithms.
