Abstract

In this paper, we describe a learning activity using an underwater robot. In preceding study, The authors confirmed that underwater robot teaching materials “Mark3” exert the contents of the elementally mechanics on students. Accordingly, the authors have created underwater robot teaching materials "Mark3TM" that can be easily fabricated by diverting commercially available products. In the underwater robot convention in JAMSTEC '16, we conducted education program for eight high school teams using Mark3TM.Then, by the questionnaire survey, it was confirmed that the convention was favorable and that the Mark3TM had educational effect for the participants. From the above, the authors conclude that the underwater robot teaching materials have been more teaching value than already known in the past.
