Abstract

ICT education using a computer and a tablet researching information as communication technology is now popular in classes at Japanese schools in recent years. In addition, the use of the robot in the educational front is increasing, too. We developed a communication robot for educational purposes using Scratch programming. This kind of robot has been developed so that students could learn how to lead a better communication using voice recognition technology. It is controlled by scratch programming. Exterior module for robot was manufactured by digital fabrication equipment such as a 3D printer and a laser cutter. In this paper, we describe the development processes of the robot and introduce the utilization method in the educational front.
