Development of Robot Teaching Materials to Encourage Computational Thinking for Kindergarten and Elementary School Students

Abstract

In the new education guidelines to be implemented from 2020, the programming education is introduced from the elementary school stage. The programming education at elementary schools is aimed at nurturing "Computational Thinking". Therefore, we develop teaching materials to promote the computational thinking for elementary school students. And we held a workshop using the teaching materials. In this study, we propose the teaching materials and consider the utility of teaching materials from survey of the workshop.
