Abstract

In this study, we fabricated thin-film electrode which is composed of parylene film and evaluate stability of it at in vitro environment from characteristic of impedance. The thickness of thin-film electrode is under 1 μm. Because of its thinness, it can be contacted to cellular tissues closely and follow the movement of it. We are thinking of using this thin-film electrode to measuring extracellular electric potential at in vitro environment. Culture medium is existed at in vitro environment, so performance degradation of electrode is concerned. In this experiment, we verified performance degradation of electrode by culture medium from changes in impedance.
