Composition of Episode Memory and Emotion Model

Abstract

This study proposes a method for dynamic updating of emotional information in episodic memories. Referring to self-organizing map algorithm, updating was done so that the emotional information of the episodic memory becomes closer to the agent's current emotional information. Using the proposed method, the psychological process to rewrite unpleasant memory as pleasant memory, was simulated.
