Abstract

We are researching a system that provides a topic for supporting lively and smooth human-to-human conversation. The effect of conversation support heavily depends on the atmosphere of the space. It's an important element to make the atmosphere in order to effectively support conversation. In this paper, using 7.1 multichannel sound system with high needs even in the home in recent years, we searched for the best layout of the speakers. As a result of comparing with several speaker positions, it has a tendency to feel a stereoscopic effect by setting only one speaker on the ceiling. In the case of installing the speaker on the ceiling, a stereoscopic effect is higher installing the speakers at the rear side rather than installing the speakers at the front side confirmed. However, the results may be dependent on the room condition and it's necessary to analysis between a stereoscopic effect and room condition.
