Abstract

This study verifies the effectiveness of extremum seeking control to maximize the output power of a vibration power generation system under the excitation force having multiple frequency components. The duty ratio which maximizes the output power relies on the frequency component of the excitation force. When the excitation force has only single frequency component, the vibration power generation system has an optimal duty ratio which maximizes the output power. Using numerical simulations, we examine the optimal duty ratio for the excitation force having multiple frequency components and verify whether we can maximize the output power under the excitation force having multiple frequency components by extremum seeking control.
