Abstract

In recent years, Japan faces the issues of a super-aging society, population decrease and shortage of young workers. Therefore, there is a growing expectation to be carried out the rehabilitation and life support by robot. Also, it has been found to the effect of the neuro-rehabilitation to improve the motor function. This method is combination of brain stimulation such as gaze and passive exercise stimulus to the paralyzed muscle and joint. In this study, we report on the results of the examination of muscle and nerve activity during passive operation by the system, for the purpose of development of the ankle neuro-rehabilitation system.
