Abstract

Automatic charging is a function required of mobile robots. There is a need for a wireless system that is safer than conventional contact systems. When performing wireless charging with a mobile robot, positioning is difficult because the transmission distance is as short as several cm. In this study, we propose a method for guiding to a charging spot using an RGB-D camera or LRF, which is often mounted on mobile robots as an obstacle detection sensor.
