Abstract

There are various terms, design of mechanical engineering, mechanism, electronics, programing etc. on basic of mechatronics education. This study reports about the mechatronics educational project associated with engineers in Saitama and university students. This project has important keywords, “Lunar Exploration”, “robots” and “relationship with society”, and is designed using a lunar simulated environment and exploration rovers. First of all, project’s participants discuss a strategy to travel the lunar simulated environment and start designing special wheels for rovers. The contest using the lunar simulated environment and rovers with proposed wheels improved by each group is carried out at the end of this project. This report mentions the state of the contest and comments from participants.
