In this paper, we investigate the effect of the head rotation movement on the walking trajectory for the purpose of development of a gait navigation device for the visually impaired. We have fabricated a simple device that rotates walker's head and executed several experiments where the head direction in walking is forcibly changed. As this result, we could confirm that the direction of trunk changes in proportion to the angle of head rotation and that the walking trajectory is also changed following the head direction. This infers that the possibility of gait navigation by controlling the head direction.
