Judgment of Bicycle Behavior by Quantitative Evaluation Indicators

Abstract

Although bicycles have become an affordable means of transportation in our daily lives, the ratio of bicycle accidents involving bicycles has been increasing year by year. Therefore, we considered that bicycle accidents could be reduced by evaluating the riding condition of bicycles based on the speed, acceleration, and steering angle obtained from bicycles in motion. In this study, we measured acceleration and steering angle using a cycle recorder, and evaluated their riding state by the assessment index.
