Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a weeding robot with paddle-wheel mechanism in order to reduce the labor in weeding paddy fields. The weeding robot is used paddle-wheel in order to travel on the water surface. First, two types of paddle-wheel were prototyped to improve propulsion performance. Second, the chain was used as the stirring mechanism. The effectiveness of the developed weeding robot is verified by the result of the experiments.
