Abstract

Although an education of surgery is closely related to thinking and procedure, it mainly relies on the oral and video materials of skilled doctors. For this reason, the situation in a surgical technique education is difficult continues worldwide, and many educational programs that provide practical training using many patient models have been developed. In this study, as the first step to clarify the causal relationship between the characteristics of the artificial eyeball and the sensory evaluation of the doctor, the incision reaction force when the artificial sclera with different fiber diameters was incised with a knife was measured, and the incision force was measured. As the results, we were able to measure the reaction force when incising an artificial sclera with a knife, and to determine the relationship of fiber diameter.
