It has been reported that the hardness and size of cells vary depending on the type of disease. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the size and deformability of a large number of cells with a diameter of 10-20 μm. Therefore, we focused on the structure and flow conditions of the microfluidic device and developed a device whose size and deformability can be easily confirmed. Two types of cell evaluation with different degree of deformation of NIH3T3 and SMC were performed. It was confirmed that SMC cells are more deformable. It was also confirmed that there were variations in size.
