Abstract

In recent years, VR presentations are considered to play an important role in transforming learning in education. Along with this, many studies have been conducted on the evaluation of attention and attention guidance during VR presentations. Clarifying inattentional blindness in a VR space is a new index for evaluating misleading of attentional guidance performed during a VR presentation. Visual attention distribution estimation has so far been considered in a two-dimensional plane. However, a two-dimensional plane cannot be used for attention evaluation during a VR presentation. Therefore, we propose a method for estimating human visual attention distribution in three dimensions. In this paper, subjects were given a visual search task and asked to pay selective attention. The results suggested identification of inattentional blindness caused by selective attention.
