Abstract

We propose a new method to control the micro-flow by vibrating multiple microbubbles for automation of micromanipulation such as artificial insemination by intracytoplasmic insemination (ICSI). Our research group proposed a method to generate fluid between adjacent bubbles by vibrating them. However, the details of the conditions under which the fluid is generated have not been clarified. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to clarify this condition. First, by fabricating structures of various shapes and conducting experiments, we clarified the conditions for the number and position of multiple bubbles. Second, we confirmed the effects of changes in bubble volume and vibration conditions on the circulation flow. Third, the interaction application distance of multiple bubbles was confirmed. This paper writes clarifying the conditions for vibrating multiple bubbles to generate microfluids and confirmed the characteristics of the phenomenon.
