Abstract

In the construction of power lines at overhead transmission towers, it is necessary to transport heavy objects to the top of the tower, which is a burden on the workers. This research aims to develop a robot that can transport heavy objects to the top of overhead transmission towers by applying space elevator climber technology, with the ultimate goal of transporting heavy objects weighing 70 kg. This is expected to reduce the number of workers and improve safety. In this presentation, we will show the relationship between the pressing force and the number of rollers, as well as the results of verifying the limit of the mass to be transported in a simulated steel tower.
