Abstract

This paper describes the development of a trauma treatment support system. When a disaster occurs, medical personnel in the disaster field need to perform medical procedures that are not their own specialty. For this background, development of remote support system cooperate with remote expert in disaster field is required. In remote site, expert performs medical procedures and capture their movement by using motion capture cameras. By sending the data to the avatar, the movement of the expert can be reproduced in the metaverse. The system allows the user to change the viewpoint in the metaverse and to check treatment procedures in real-time and on-demand. Position Based Dynamics (PBD) are also implemented for deformation calculation.
