Abstract

Cutting of road surfaces, one of the construction tasks, is in short need of manpower, and automation of cutting operations is required in the future. In road surface cutting work, a cutter attached to a road surface cutter is rotated and lowered to cut into the ground. Experienced operators can judge whether the cutter is cutting all the way down to the asphalt by the sound of the cutter and the vibration of the cutter, but inexperienced beginners may not be able to accurately grasp the work situation and may not be able to cut all the way down to the asphalt section. Therefore, this study aims to automate the judgment of the skilled operator on whether or not the road surface has been cut to the bottom of the asphalt by the sound of the cutting operation.
