We propose the possibility of presenting nociceptive temperature sensations using the Thermal Grill illusion and non-nociceptive temperatures. We tested whether there is a change in the perceived temperature sensation by applying a cold/warm stimulus that produces the Thermal Grill illusion in a grid pattern, and by presenting a warm or cold sensation in the surrounding area. The extent to which the thermal sensation permeated the presented area was also verified.
