Abstract
The standard method for human motion analysis is optical motion analysis using high-speed cameras to record human motion. However, the optical motion analysis method needs considerable working space and is very expensive. Recently, wearable motion sensor system using gyroscopes have been developed. Because gyroscope measures angular velocity, integration have to be carried out to get position and orientation, which sometimes causes error. In this paper, A new wearable motion sensor system using multi accelerometers are proposed instead of gyroscope. In the proposed method, we do not have to use integration in some boundary condition. Acceleration caused by motion and gravity force is separated and calculation algorithm of angular displacement without integration is derived.
