Abstract
In this experiment we have studied the characteristic of the Stirling type pulse tube cryocooler. A linear piston drive compressor commercially manufactured by CFIC was adopted for making pressure vibration of Helium gas. The cooling power of 146W and Carnot % of 12% at a temperature of 80K have been obtained for electric input power of 3.3kW. A simple simulation analysis used in this study has shown that it quantitatively agrees with the experimental results.
