Abstract
Exhaust gas from the Diesel engine on the ship causes air pollution in the harbor area. In order to have little environmental impact, we suggested a heat recovery system with a Stirling engine generator that used the exhaust gas. However, the gas flow is lower temperature compared with other high performance Stirling engines so an assessment and plans of heat exchanger is important part of the process of design. In this paper, we have tried to develop the system as well as evaluated the heat exchanger characterization.
