Abstract
In this study, a 3kW class new Stirling engine generator, SERENUM05, was developed. The SERENUM05 engine has a high efficiency with compact dimensions and lightweight. As one of unique specifications of the SRENUM05 engine, four-piston double-acting mechanism with a Z-type crank for high power is introduced. A generator is set in the bottom space of the engine. And annular-shaped mesh sheets are used as the regenerator matrix to improve the engine performance. From the engine test results, the maximum generated power of 2,188W and the maximum generating efficiency of 22.7% were obtained.
