Currently various cards are issued and widely used in our daily life. Most cards are magnetic cards, but these cards are being replaced by IC card, which has the merits, such as "larger memory capacity", "high security", and "high speed transaction". Sony has developed contactless IC card technology "FeliCa"; it is recently used in many fields, such as an electronic transportation ticket and an electronic money. This document explains FeliCa technology and new approach.
