This paper provides the influence of a pile on ground vibration induced by a moving train in underground tunnel. A coupling of the 2.5-D and the 3-D boundary element method (BEM) is used for obtaining the displacement amplitudes on the surface around the top of a pile. Numerical results show that it is possible that the presence of a pile may cause an increase of the ground vibration level around the top of a pile at low frequencies.
