Abstract
Experimental study has been conducted to obtain the detailed information about the temperature control in bio-hydrogen production using the culture processes of photosynthetic bacteria as Rhodobacter sphaeroides RV. Bio-hydrogen production experiments were carried out to obtain the test fluids under batch culture and immersed agar culture conditions. Heat transfer rate of the culture solutions for bio-hydrogen production using the photosynthetic bacteria was measured for stirred conditions. The results show that the heat transfer rate of the culture solutions decreases with the culture proceeds. It is suggested that the residual products in the cultivate processes largely affects on the heat transfer characteristics.
