Abstract
Experimental study has been performed to show the relation between coefficient of fire room temperature rise (α) and charring behavior. The furnace at Tokyo University of Science was used. In this paper, the specimen was pine (density:420〜520kg/m^3, moisture contents:3.6〜5.0%). The experimental conditions have changed not only coefficient of fire room temperature rise and also heating time. As the results of experiments, the temperature rise on heating side of specimen of α=690 was higher than α=230. And as α increases, charring rate of specimen increased.
