Abstract
Numerical analysis of heat and fluid flow has been performed to clarify the behavior of sound pressure and temperature change of the working gas in a miniature standing wave thermoacoustic oscillator. Transient one-dimensional equations of continuity, momentum and energy were solved utilizing a TVD scheme. A simple physical model was used for the numerical simulation. As a result, it was found that the numerical results qualitatively agree with the experimental ones.
