Abstract

In this study, influence of mixing layer on ignition delay time measurement of CRV shock tube was numerically investigated using one dimensional numerical simulation including mixing layer between two sections. The compressible Navier-Stokes equations were solved with detailed chemical reactions. The results showed that buffer-test mixing layer doesn’t occur pressure change, however interaction between reflected shock and driver-buffer mixing layer occurs pressure change behind reflected shock. Due to this pressure change behind reflected shock, ignition delay time is accelerated in middle or high temperature region.
