Abstract
The traffic accidents are increasing every year, and the accident ratio of elderly people is increasing. The one of the reason is that the fall of physical capability of elderly people. In this research, driving characteristics are reproduced by a required situation with the driving simulator, and the reaction in the situation and the operation characteristic are measured from the sensors attached in the steering, accelerator and brake. Moreover, we measure the fundamental characteristic related to the cognition, judgment and movement of a driver. By investigating the both correlation, it is shown clearly how the fall of cognition, judgment and movement functions are related to the traffic accidents.
