The pantograph is using conductive parts called a contact strip for a contact portion with overhead wires in order to take in electricity. What became thin is exchanged each time for the article of consumption worn out while a panhead runs. Since it was the work which must reach the roof of a train in order to inspect, the pantograph contact strip automatic measurement equipment using the ultrasonic sensor was developed, and it has already introduced. However, since the decline in the rate of detection accompanying quality-of-the-material change of a contact strip had become a problem recently, we tackled this improvement and got the result.
