Proposal of Virtual Proving Ground with Driving Simulator and Tyre Testing Machine

Abstract

Driving simulator combined with tyre testing machine is proposed in this paper. By using measurement data from tyre testing machine instead of tyre model for dynamic calculation of driving simulator, we can get accurate tyre character on driving simulator in real time and achieve virtual proving ground that we have proposed including tyre. By the experiments, it was shown that the dynamic characteristic difference between two tyres can be reflected dynamic calculation of simulator and the driver can feel the difference by driving on simulator.
