抄録
The target of "Humanoid Robotics Project" (called HRP) is to find some suitable applications for humanoid robots. In the former two years, the platform system (as for common base of R&D) was developed, and in the latter three years, element technologies as for applications was developed. In HRP. KHI developed two models of the remote control system, the super cockpit and the portable remote control device. By using the latter system, the tele-operated humanoid robot succeeded in driving industrial vehicles, which was the first experiment in the world. As the portable remote control device was developed to improve the property of operation, we expect that it would be applied not only to humanoid robots but also to other applications for remote control system.
