Abstract
In recent studies of automobiles and transportation, the driving simulator has become powerful tool for drivers' behaviors. There are several merits of experiments using a driving simulator. In this study, the new concept of driving simulator has been developed with interactive traffic scenario using macro and micro traffic simulations. The hardware of the driving simulator also modified for this purpose. In this study, the comparison of drivers' behaviors between actual car and driving simulator is made in order to show the usefulness of the developed driving simulator. As the database of road images in the driving simulators is the Metropolitan Expressway Route No.3 (Shibuya), the driving test was conducted using test vehicle equipped the various sensors to measure the own and the other vehicle behaviors and driver's motions on the same condition.
