Abstract
An experiment platform for drivers' human factor analysis on the moving-based driving simulator, is developed by the authors. For realistic human factor measurement experiments, the previous driving simulator was made many modifications. Now new driving simulator, which is named as "Universal Driving Simulator for Human,Vehicle and Traffic Research", has many functions. The 360 degrees-field-of-view visual information projectors are introduced to response to the complicated traffic situations. The Cabin is made with a frame-structured flexible cut-body for the purpose of high versatility. It is also equipped with 5.1ch surround audio system and better motion control. The steering wheel is controlled by an AC servomotor. This new driving simulator is useful for human factor analysis experiments.
