The accident example 127, originating from a tire blowout was chosen from the traffic accident cases which had occurred on the expressways of Gifu Pref. with-in the past five years (1999〜2003). The correspondence and actions of the driver immediately after the tire blowout were investigated on the basis of the traffic accident data from the investigation of the accident. Furthermore, the action of the vehicle immediately after the tire blowout in this specific accident was reproduced by using traffic accident simulation soft (PC-Crash). And, we faithfully simulated the various kinds of traces (tire marks etc.) that had been confirmed in the actual accident scene.
