The weight reduction of a vehicle is important for car development. However, the weight reduction leads to a stiffness drop. This stiffness drop affects the stability and the dynamic performance of the vehicle. But, these relationships are not clear. In this research, we build a multi-body dynamic vehicle model for a solar car. The part to change is the frame stiffness. We perform the evaluation by constant radius analysis and single lane change analysis. When frame stiffness is low, the elasticity transforms by the vehicle frame cornering force. It is understood that, the vehicle alignment changes, the vehicle stability and dynamic performance of the car decreases.
