Abstract
In recent years, condition monitoring technology using various sensors have been studied with the development of the ITC technologies. In the railway field, condition monitoring system using an acceleration sensor mounted on the vehicle body or bogie have been studied. In our research group has studied the sign detection system of the flange-climb derailment using an angular rate sensor attached to the bogie frame. In previous research, a basic detection algorithm was developed using 1/10-scale vehicle experiments. Following the development of a sign detection algorithm from the scaled model, verification of the sign detection algorithm was then completed using real-scale bogie experiments and Multibody dynamics simulation. This time the running test using an actual vehicle has been done and focuses on the result of the bogie behavior while passing the rail joint, which is not reproduced in the simulation. In this paper, vibration characteristics of the bogie behavior was analyzed while passing the rail joint.
