In order to improve the running safety of railway vehicles, it is important to evaluate the condition of the bogie and the contact condition between the wheels and the rails. For this purpose, various evaluation indicators using the wheel load and lateral force measured have been proposed. In this research, in order to reveal the relationship between the index values, we analyze the data from the on-track condition monitoring system on commercial line. The data including time history of wheel load and lateral force on curve section. These data were converted into bogie twist component, which is used to detect axle spring failures, steering resistance, which indicates curve passing performance, and the correlation between these two indexes. Differences in the index values caused by differences in the bogie structure are also be discussed.
