Abstract

In recent years, condition monitoring technology has been actively developed aiming at safer operation and maintenance cost reduction. For devices with a large number of mountings, such as railroad car bogies, It is desirable to install the sensor on the trackside because a single sensor can measure data from all the vehicles running. The authors have been studying of technology for detection abnormalities in bogie using the diagonal wheel load imbalance ratio 𝑅𝑑. Specifically, correction by lateral forces has been studied to improve the sensitivity of abnormal detection of bogies. In this study, to further improve the sensitivity of bogie abnormality detection, improving the functionality of the ground sensor on the trackside. Furthermore, this paper shows algorithm for detecting abnormalities and examined detectable bogie abnormalities.
