抄録
Instability of supersonic free jets from a circular orifice is investigated by an experiment and calculations. Distortion of jet cross sections is photographed by the LIF method and petals-shaped cross sections are observed. The finite volume method calculates the similar petals-shaped cross sections in the density contours. The DSMC method also reproduces the deformation of density contours. Both simulations are processed in the three-dimensional flow field.
