The bucket chain water scoop wheel invented in China in the second century is the proto-type of a chain conveyor technology system. The industry of present age is benefiting by the advance of its technology. The technology of the water scoop wheel of this type was invented 1500 years earlier than Western Europe. And it is the essence of Chinese ancient-times machine technology. Authors report the results of an investigation of this water scoop wheel which is existing in Yunnan, China.
