Abstract
The academic ability of freshman widely spreads due to the variety of learning experience at high school. Freshman is divided to the class of two scholastic attainments levels by examination of mathematics. Understanding level of mathematics at high school was investigated in low scholastic attainments level class. And, it was confirmed that the students felt uneasiness in the class of mathematics of the university because the understanding of mathematics of the high school was insufficient. a new textbook of basic mathematics and science was proposed for low scholastic attainments level class. Moreover, the team learning to improve the education effect of the made textbook was introduced.
