A history of "Arrow", which is a still living and oldest Japanese-made car, is introduced based on information that was directly obtained from the father of the car "Kouichi Yano", and many documents that were left by him. After describing that he never achieved it without financial support automotive engineers, the development concepts are shown: it is small and light car suitable for Japanese road and to use Japanese-made instruments and parts as much as possible for manufacturing it. Moreover the features of the car from engineering aspect are presented.
